Farewell Celebration for Rabbi Sachs-Kohen

Saturday, May 10, 2025 12 Iyar 5785

6:00 PM - 10:00 PMBaltimore Hebrew Congregation

Saturday, May 10 at 6 pm.

Over the past two decades Rabbi Sachs-Kohen has helped us hold our simchas and our sorrows. She has inspired us with her sermons, shared our rallying cries when we marched, and helped us find the still small voice as we sat in meditation. To honor her lasting impact we have planned a heartfelt evening of performances, gifts, and farewell toasts, culminating in a meaningful Havdalah celebration.

6 pm: Pre-Party & Gift Reception in the Bernstein Garden Expect hors d’oeuvres and drinks,

*Note: while there will be hors d'oeuvres, we are not serving a full dinner.

7 pm: Improv Performance by DC’s Playback Theatre. The Playback Theatre ensemble takes the ideas and stories of its audience members and turns them into impromptu on-stage performances. You wont want to miss this!

Following the perfromance, we will go back outside for Havdalah in the Bernstein Garden. Grab some sweets and circle around as we sing together and celebrate this bittersweet farewell. Rabbi Sachs-Kohen will have the chance to share her reflections on her time serving our congregation.

RSVP required. Reserve your spot and make a contribution in her honor below!
